Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced music and/or dance instructor for a children's summer program serving ages 3-11. The ideal candidate will be able to create engaging, age- appropriate activities that promote creativity, movement, and fun.
Responsibilities
- Choose activities, lessons, and music based on available students age
- Leading group sessions and fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Properly assess the skills of each student under your care, and work with students to develop their individual skills
- Stay up to date with trends in both teaching and the music industry
- Maintain all musical equipment, as necessary
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- The ability to make decisions under pressure
- Patience
Experience with working with young children is a plus, but not a requirement. Background in dance, music, or performing arts preferred.
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
